Many, many moons ago, Kesty (right in the top left photo) had the vision of a space where women can gather for during the bleeding time in their menstrual cycle.
This vision quickly grew from a weekend to a month of women gathering, celebrating, witnessing each other and holding each other. With lots of ceremony, workshops, community gatherings they lifted each other up and build a strong container year after year, creating this haven of solidarity, sisterhood and moon connection.

After about 10 years, it was time for a break for the organising group of women and a reshuffle happened within the team. But the red thread was strong and Dani felt the call to step into the red-hearth weaver role. She brought a new generation of women organisers together and the Red Hearth was re-kindled in 2021.

Since then the focus of the new organising group has been to weave the new and the old, empower each other, rising our sisters up, make space for rest and menstruation and create space for community within the sacred land of the Roundhouse.
We give our thanks to Kesty and the women wo have put so much heart, love and effort into organising the gathering for so many years. We feel deep gratitude for Martin, the ground preparer, supporter and space-builder and all the men that hold us on this journey and support us in many many ways. We give thanks to all the women who have contributed, visited, shared and brought their selves into this gatherin.
Together we can build the community and world we want to live in.
